Option to extend time limited Product
milestone

Ron Kuper
I would like to have an option to extend my Product that is nearing its return date. Case: When I request a product that has a time limit specified, upon receiving the mail that the product is about to be returned I would like the option to extend (or re-request) the time limit on the product. Currently I would need to return the product before being able to request it again

Any updates when it is planned?
Because it is an real bummer for our user at the moment...

Alexander Eibl Thank you for your responce. This item has been released in 2025.04 for recertification. When approving a recertification request that is linked to a time limited product, you can choose to extend the time limit with the maximum allowed time based on the current product configuration. Thank you for your response.
As far as understood, this only works if you start a recertification campain for the products? This could lead to on overflood of approval requests for user managers.
So there is no option as enduser to start an extension request of an "product XY" by himself (to click on a button if the time limit will expire soon for him)?
The documentation for the recertification modul is not helpful or clear enough for me.
I already talked to the sales and the support team, but they couldn't answer my question about it.

Alexander Eibl That is correct. This will only work for Recertification campaigns at this moment. I have asked my colleagues to contact you about this topic and provide you with further information.

Also the Manager/Product Owner should get a warning and be able to extend the returndate. This would also offer a very basic but extremely effective way of recertification
