Rule Mining: Configurable name generator for Business Rules
J
Jeroen Smit
Currently, when creating a new Business Rule from Rule Mining using Create rule, HelloID automatically suggests a name based on the attribute(s) and values used in the Rule Mining filter.
Depending on the organization's naming convention, this suggested name may need to be adjusted manually for every newly created Business Rule.
The feature request is to introduce a configurable name generator for Business Rules created from Rule Mining.
Administrators should be able to define a naming convention or template that determines how the suggested Business Rule name is generated. The template could use the attributes and values that are part of the Rule Mining result.
For example, a naming convention could be configured as:
[Department] - [JobTitle]
This would automatically generate consistent Business Rule names based on the attributes and values identified by Rule Mining.
This would:
- Reduce the need to manually rename Business Rules created from Rule Mining.
- Ensure consistent Business Rule naming across the environment.
- Make it easier to create multiple Business Rules efficiently from Rule Mining results.
